How we built LactoLove packaging that prints, not just presents

A baby product range for the Omani market needed packaging taken all the way to a printable dieline, in Arabic and English at once, with every regulatory mark exactly where a regulator expects it.

The Brief

Baby product packaging design: the brief

LactoLove needed packaging taken all the way to the printer. Not stopped at a mockup, but a real, printable dieline ready to run.

The range was made specifically for the Omani market. A storage box, printed bags and a bottle warmer carton all had to carry the same bilingual standard.

Cautions and product information had to pass a regulator without a second look. That is a hard requirement, not a nice-to-have, on anything sold to parents.

A baby product package gets read by a parent who is tired, in a hurry, or both at once. Every panel had to work at a glance, in either language.

A translation that reads correctly on close inspection is not the same thing as a warning that reads instantly under a supermarket light. The brief needed the second one.

The whole range also had to look like one family on a shelf, whether a parent picked up the storage box, a bag, or the warmer carton first.

The Build

What we built

The storage box arrives as a flat dieline. We specify tuck flaps, glue tabs and a lid pattern, ready for the printer to run without guesswork.

Every panel runs twice, Arabic and English, and the cautions read identically in both. A warning that differs by language is a warning that has already failed.

A temperature panel marks cool, good and hot for the indicator strip. A parent reads it in one glance, no explanation needed.

The bags carry a printed measurement scale in milliliters and ounces, with write-on lines. Parents can log a feed directly on the bag itself.

The packaging design places product information, barcode and recycling marks exactly where a regulator expects them, first time.

The bottle warmer carton and its printed manual finish the set, on the same visual system as the boxes and bags around them.

The Details

Made for one market, not adapted for it

We made the packaging specifically for the Omani market. We did not adapt it from a different one. That is why the Arabic face reads first across every piece.

That includes the bottle warmer carton and its printed manual, not just the front-facing packaging. Consistency does not stop where the shelf-facing side ends.

Every dieline and print file went to the printer complete. The client received production-ready packaging, not a design that still needed a second studio to make it printable.

That distinction matters more than it sounds. A design that looks finished on screen can still fail at the press. That happens when nobody actually builds the dieline behind it.

A parent choosing between two baby brands on a shelf reads the packaging before reading anything else about the company behind it. This range was built to earn that first look.
