Illustration for Graphic Design & Brand Identity, Branding & Graphic Design Agency in Cairo

A logo is the smallest part of a brand. Luminari is a branding agency in Cairo, and we start with the promise long before the pixels. We interview your decision makers, read the market and audit what you already own. Only then do we design. The result is a system your team can run without calling us every week.

We work for Egyptian companies going regional and for Gulf brands entering Egypt. Both need the same thing: one identity that behaves in Arabic and in Latin. A mark that works only in English is half a brand here. Everyone in the room learns that by the second meeting.

What a branding agency owes a business

Clarity first, then consistency. We define the positioning, the audience and the promise in plain language. Then we build the visual system that carries it: logo suite, color, typography and graphic language. Guidelines follow as a rulebook people open, not a PDF that gathers dust in a shared drive.

We also name what a brand is not. Half the value of a good discovery phase is the list of things you stop doing. That list saves more money in year one than the logo does. It ends the scattergun spending that made the brand look inconsistent. We then test the system on its hardest application, not its easiest.

Bilingual identity, drawn as one system

Arabic and Latin type carry different rhythm, weight and baselines. We draw them together rather than scaling one to match the other. That shows in the Ahmed Alhamoud Law Firm identity, which runs Arabic first across logotype, company profile and stationery. Bilingual brand systems covers the craft in detail, down to numeral choice and line height.

The same rule applies to voice. A tagline that sings in English often lands flat in Arabic, so we write both rather than translating one. Brands selling into Riyadh, Dubai and Cairo need copy that sounds local in each.

Refresh or rebuild

Most brands with history should not start over. If customers recognize your mark, we modernize around that equity instead of discarding it. Discovery tells us which path protects more value. Rebranding without throwing away the recognition you have sets out the test we apply. We also plan the switch in stages. Signage, packaging and print change in a sensible order, so the brand never disappears overnight.

Expansion changes the answer. A mark that works on a Cairo shopfront may fail on a Saudi tender document or a UAE mall fascia. Companies moving into Saudi Arabia or the UAE should start with brand identity for Egyptian companies going regional.

Where an identity actually lives

A brand earns its keep in application, not in a presentation deck. We deliver packaging, stationery, event material, campaign key visuals and social templates. Motion snippets keep the feed on brand without slowing your team down. A design system your marketing team will actually use explains how we keep the rules practical.

Print in Egypt has its own limits. Paper stock varies, presses differ, and color shifts between screen and sheet. We tune the identity to that reality and check the first run with you before full production. You own the outcome as well. We hand over every source file, export format and font license note. A brand should never sit hostage inside an agency drive.

Identity systems you can inspect in full

The brand and identity portfolio holds 8 complete systems. Among them are the Ahmed Alhamoud Law Firm, LactoLove, FilmAnGo and OMG identities. The company profiles and brochures portfolio adds 16 more documents. Across the whole Luminari portfolio there are 81 projects. That is what a branding agency should show you before it quotes a fee.

The STEP identity shows a system built to be used: one pattern library runs the guidelines, the stationery, the brochure and the company profile. Identity work ships alongside our website and app team and our social media team. A brand should launch whole, not in pieces. Start with a free brand and site audit.

Questions, answered

Before you ask

The questions every smart client asks us in the first call, answered here so your first call can be about your business instead. Anything missing? Ask us directly.

A focused identity refresh runs four to six weeks; a full brand build with strategy, identity, guidelines and launch assets typically takes eight to twelve. We agree the scope and timeline before we start, and we keep to it.

Completely. You receive every source file, font license guidance and export format, plus guidelines explaining how to use them. Your brand should never be held hostage by your agency.

Yes, and often that is the smarter move. If your brand has equity, we modernize the system around what customers already recognize rather than throwing recognition away. The discovery phase tells us which path protects the most value.

Both, natively. We build bilingual identity systems with Arabic and Latin typography that feel like one brand, not a translation. This matters for brands serving Egypt and MENA while selling into English-speaking markets.

"Working with Luminari Solutions has been a game-changer. Their attention to detail and commitment to our success made all the difference."
